Re: Just want to check this?
Hi Jowana:
Silver is no longer "grandfathered" as pre-FDA drug. The FDA reclassified silver. It is now considered an "unclassified drug".
Use of
Colloidal Silver is currently protected under the Vitamin and Mineral Supplement Act.
One can make one's own product, or purchase products for use as a mineral supplement, but not as a medicinal substance...
Except, of course, for the new Johnson and Johnson silver bandages that will soon be hitting the OTC market; or for FDA approved Silverlon, or FDA approved Silver Sulfadiazine.
One can, of course, now purchase silver-lined shirts from Puma that prevent odor, and Addidas is going to be marketing silver-lined shoes to eliminate foot odors.
If you happen to need a bone transplant, and are lucky enough to go to the soon-opening state of the art bone marrow transplant clinic at The City of Hope National Medical Center, the silver-clay formulated into the duct steel releases silver ions to keep the surgical room microbe-free.
Best Regards!
