--answer--about Kelp and the Sodium to Potassium ratios--

Hi neo,

You may not be understanding the Problem Correctly or you may not be considering the Correct idea with the Result ?

In other words you may not be Connecting the Correct pieces of the Puzzle together ?

Your body temp may be Controlled by your Sodium to the Potassium Ratios, not the Iodine Levels per say !

Altho the Thyroid may need Iodine to function properly, this is "NOT" what Controls the Body temperature !

When the Cells contain Enough Sodium, this Causes them to Retain water, thus allows the Body to keep warm !

When the body Contains too much Potassium, to the amount of Sodium, then the Cells Loose water, thus Causing the body to become Cold !

It just so happens that Kelp contains Both Sodium and Potassium, and some kelp which may be grown in warmer waters may contain Different Ratios of the Sodium to Potassium, than Kelp grown in Colder waters of the ocean !

Thus Kelp grown in warmer waters may Cause a person who is already short of Sodium to become even more short of Sodium and thus Cause them to become Colder !

The answer to Solve this problem may be to find a Kelp which is grown in Colder waters, so that it may contain a Higher ratio of Sodium, so that your body may stay warmer !

Or you may need to "STOP" eating those foods which are too high in Potassium in the First place !

As usual, not everything may be as it may First seem to be !

Smile Tis your choice.
