ok, thanks for explaining the mechanism.

as far as ph goes, every site that i have looked at regarding keeping pools clean says that the ph of 7.5 or there abouts it eh most affective for chlorine to decon pools. so it does seem that ph plays a role.

and also my question still stands, does Iodine work in a similar way as far as killing bacteria? Tweet
