Hospitals giving out horrific heart 'menus'

I know someone who recently had a heart attack. They sent him home with a menu to follow.

Some of the lowlights include:

a) conflicting info - foods to eat include deli meats. Then, foods to avoid include, deli meats....

b) meat suggestions: MOST individuals REQUIRE 2-3 (!) servings of meat per day. PER DAY?!

So, if you have a deli meat sandwich for lunch - you better have chicken AND beef for supper.

Well - it'll keep you on your beta blocker and statin meds...
