Sometimes...

Green and Red peppercorns are sometimes considered better as they are just dried from fresh. However, the irritation caused by Pepper generally applies to all peppercorns.

As for the beans - How do you cook them? and what kinds?
Lentils tend to. However I don't really have any problems with other beans be it stove top, pressur cooker, or slow cooker.
You may be boiling them too vigorously and/or not qite not enough water? Slow simmer seems to work better for me. Using more water at cooking gives them more room to jumpa around without working agaianst the other beans.
