Re: why doesn't humaworm have fda approval?
Hello - I do understand your concerns. That FDA page on the
http://www.humaworm.com
website explains that herbal medications are not regulated AT ALL. I actually wanted to include that information on the site so that folks interested in HUMAWORM or any other herbal medication for that matter, could be well informed of the "regulations" or lack thereof.
Con men, schiesters, and the like can put whatever they want into an herbal preparation and sell it to whoever they want to for whatever price they want to with no regulation at all. We manufacturers are not even required to list the exact ingredients in our formulas. A "manufacturer" could grind up grass clippings and sell it as "herbal medication". I choose to fully disclose my formulas - others do not.
If you do not trust a product - mine or anyone else's - then do not use it. Am I liable for any damage or even death? (neither of which has occured) Nope. The FDA does not regulate herbs so therefore it is the same principle if a person goes out and eats poisoned mushrooms - the landowner where the mushrooms were growing is not liable for damage or death.
I am actually glad that you asked this question because it might make folks look a little deeper into exactly WHAT is in their supplements and herbal formulas.
