pain meds constipate, my solution

Hi all, I had a total knee replacement on Jan 9th. All went well, Walked into Drs. office today for staple removal..no crutches or walker. I'm taking pain medication, Percocet, which is effective with pain but constipating. I tried two Dulcolax tablets with no results then three, also no results. I eliminate glycerine suppositories in 15 min and nothing else. Then I started an enema every other day, 1.2 liters plain water. Bingo, works great and feels so good after its done. My wife has been giving them which was embarassing at first but we're beyond that. I hope my experience dealing with constipation helps somebody but won't help the laxative industry or advertising media thereof. Tweet
