Re: Part I--Dangers of LUPRON!

I was not aware of ALL these effects, but I was put through a round of Lupron before my hysterectomy. It is only suppose to be used for 6 months (3 injections) and they left me on it for nine months, I woumd up with osteopenia at 29 yrs old (prelude to osteoperosis) and now have full blown osteoporosis in my hips. I was told I have the bones of a 50 year old in most of my body, and that of an 80 year old in my hips. I am now 34. I have been preaching the bad effects of Depo Lupron ever since. When they describe "unexplainable pain" I bet it is the bone loss. Osteoporosis is called a "silent" disease, (meaning painless), if you ask anyone who has it they will tell you that is a load of crap....it ACHES terribly and causes shooting pains at times.

Thank You for sharing this....NYSSA
