Scores of disgruntled housewives flocked to the grumblings of Betty Friedan; but she was actually a husband-beating limousine liberal living in an 11 room mansion overlooking the Hudson River who was advised by the Communist Part to avoid registering so she could be more effective at co-opting the feminist movement.
