Juice calorie content - the same as whole fruit/veg?

Hi all,

I am on day 11 of my yearly 30 day strained juice fast. Something that's always bothered me though every year I've done this:

I know that it's best to stick to the veg juices more than fruit juices because of the Sugar and calorie content of the fruit juices, but does anyone know how to count the calories of a fresh fruit juice? If I juice an apple an orange and a carrot, do I add up the calories from the whole fruits and assume that that is what I am consuming - surely the disgarded fibrous parts still contain some calories that I can deduct from the total?

I tell you why I ask... I have lost about 7 lbs in 10 days so far (I know much of this will be water), but I just added up the calories of a pint of juice I made this morning made from half a pineapple and a quater of a Watermelon and found that it came to 437 calories!!!!! In one pint!!!! I might as well drink cream!!! hahaha!

So do you think I can deduct a percentage of those calories for the the part of the juiced fruits I'm not consuming (the fibrous waste)?

Many thanks for your thoughts.

S
