peel orange before dropping in jack lalanne chute?

ok this is similiar to my question about apples, but for some reason i dont know how to reply to messages lol; so thank you for the replies in that thread
Do you guys recommend peeling the orange?
Also i had a cheaper juicer that had an adapter for oranges where you just cut them in half and then press down on plastic spinner, it would not hurt your hands and obviously the skin was not an issue; Was this a better way to juice an orange quality wise?
