According to what I have been told about MVP (Mitral Valve Prolapse) and dental work is that blood during work on the teeth can be infected by the bacteria in your mouth and carried into the circulatory system and eventually to the heart. Since OP is simply removing the bacteria and involves no bleeding I have decided for myself that there is no problem.

I am on a mission to heal from MVP, but in the meantime I do take the Antibiotics when visiting a dentist. I also have been Oil Pulling for a little more than a month and feel very comfortable about so doing. I have been learning to listen very carefully to not only my body but also my spirit which has been guiding me along in this journey to the restoration of my health.

This is just my opinion added to the information given me by the cardiologist and my dentist. I think I will talk this over with my dentist to confirm.
