Male cat spray??

I have a male cat who I am going to get fixed but in the mean time he has sprayed and even though I keep spanking him he still continues to do it. I don't want to leave him outside all the time because alot of cats bigger than him want to always fight him and he is scared of them. He is kinda small. But I bought some Urine Gone because I was having a problem with a cat I was keeping for a friend. Would the urine Gone work for cat spray too ? Tweet
