Squirrel fantasies

Item # 1
For years I have had an ongoing battle with squirrels over my vine-ripe tomatoes. With their pea sized brain, they keep outsmarting me.

Item # 2

A friend works for a house building outfit. He was telling me about the time he was working inside a finished house and had some of the special plastic that is sticky on one side put down on the carpet until finished working. It seems that the resident cat got tangled up in the sticky plastic and the more he tried to get loose, the more entangled he got. By the time the cat was extricated from the sticky plastic, he had lost a good bit of hair and was impossible to look at without laughing.

Item # 3

I can visualize having some of that sticky stuff around my tomatoes and watching a squirrel trying to negotiate an exit. I have no idea how I would get him loose, but it would be a perverse fun to get some payback for all my fretting over the loss of a lovely vine ripened tomato. Hhhhmmmm.........what a thought. Sigh.....sigh....
