It's called a colander, and you can get them anywhere there is kitchenware. There's stainless and plastic -- be careful to choose one that is easily washable, has the holes the right size (not too big, not too little). I made the mistake once of picking up one that had a stainless screen, but then it had wires to support it which made it difficult to wash. I also read recently that someone on this forum uses a slotted spoon, another alternative.
