mostly it is the food the bacteria live on that is coming out. there is an entire theory about pathogens that is simply put this way: there is only one bacteria and it can morph into good or bad bacteria and viruses and fungus. so the stuff we pull out has a lot of this proto-pathogens in it. they have not been determined yet. but they are there ready to eat that undigested food in the event it builds up too much. disease is the environment, not the critters that live in it. the critters are there because the environment is there. oil pulling cleans the internal environment.
