Re: its a little late for me
So sorry to hear about your damage!!! Luckily, the liver is one of those organs (the ONLY one, I believe) that can actually generate healthy tissue, if the patient is conscientious about their health, etc.
I had a very close friend who took a head injury, ate roughly 20 Tylenol within a 24 hr. period (DUH), and it ruined his liver, too.
I suffered a broken back and 2 herniated disks about 12 years ago - once I'd gotten over the first 6 months of recovery with muscle relaxers off and on, I had to learn how to do everything (from coughing to picking up a pair of socks from the floor) all over again. Aspirin worked wonders for me and, it had never seemed to work prior to this injury.
The pharmaceutical companies don't want people to be wary of their products - we're talking GAbillions in profit earnings, each year. The doctors that I've dealt with in the past have all seemed rather ambivalent about what they were prescribing, suggesting, and diagnosing! Today, I have a great country doctor that actually spends TIME with his patients, knows them by name, and is open to any and all methods of treatment that might benefit his patients, including herbal and holistic treatments.
BEST OF LUCK to you!!!! And, hang in there...
