I had such a problem with my post last evening, that I forgot to ask a question that has been bothering me for years.
I have been trying to find out what the Dr. in GUNSMOKE TV program is using for pain. Almost in every show where someone is hurt he gives them LOGNUM. At that is what I think he is saying. But I can't seem to find it when I goggle for it, even with different spellings. Do either of you know what it was/is, or what it may be called today? Think of the time frame when this took place, it had to be rather easy to make from something that was readdly available to almost everyone. Also it always seemed to be a syrup or tinture. Is it one of the berbs that we use today, but called by another name? One of my favorites is cheyenne. Any help in this small matter would be greatly appreciated.
