no, the people that say not to chelate while you still have amalgams are not just saying it can pull mercury from the fillings. many chelators stir up mercury in the body. you don't need all that extra mercury when you still have fillings. i know from experience that having mercury fillings can make you very ill. after they are out, you can get much much better even overnight. you add chelation of top of that, and it can make you even better. the body is not chelating heavily like it is when you add chelators. yes, the ALA won't hurt you afterward. i contacted experts and they advised me. info is on my site about it. scroll down a ways.
