Well, that is not how coffee enemas work actually - it isn't a body reaction to "acids in the coffee" (at least not that I have read), instead, the way that a coffee enema works is that the blood vessels in the colon send the caffeine directly to the liver without first being broken down by digestive juices, the way it would have had you just drank the coffee.

The liver, receiving such a direct shot of caffeine, is stimulated to squirt out bile, cleansing itself.
