Okay, I got busy and neglected my black tea kombucha, so I guesstimate it is now about 2 1/2 - 3 weeks old. The top of the culture has gotten rather smooth and white. Do you think it's still good if I were to bottle it now? Or is there a problem?
Now, my other culture (green tea) is only about 5 days old but it seems to have a problem. It hasn't started to develop a 2nd culture, and I see what looks to be some bluish mold. I have heard to be wary of mold. Should I just dump this whole lot? (I'm thinking yes).
