Hi...yes it has been awhile...

That was a strange experience for you and I guess the ever so famous quote,
"This soon will pass..." still holds true...it always passes ,doesn't it?
Makes me an even more solid believer that the 'program' of the Master-Cleanse works-works-works!

It was certainly one of the worst 'physical' experiences for me when I had the hives.


The mango flesh is fine,yet if your lips touch the skin,watch out...
And raw bulk cashews are dangerous for many. Before I came down with the hives
I was eating the bottom of the bag of some bulk 'shews...I recall seeing a bunch
of black stuff that I now assume was 'nut skin'(hmm) or shell-inevitably the worst part! UGH!!!

Having an extremely strong immune sys , like I said earlier, was ,in this case,
not to my advantage...

October was a rough month for us, as we experienced a lot of damage. Mostly rock retaining wall and foundation. Nothing that can't be fixed ,though...and most importantly , statewide, no one was seriously hurt...amazing...!

December will be rough again, yet in this case financially...about $20k...

BUT! FEMA really came through and is picking up half the tab. Almost restores my faith in the political system! Still I am thankful that there was that aspect of the 'system', not just selfishly-but,for all that needed it.

And , I guess I owe a debt of gratitude to the medical doctors, too for a drug that really relieved my horrible discomfort with the hives...

I close in saying that after my 45 day Master-Cleanse months ago, I have really changed. I aquired the name Detour over 30 years ago, due to my rebelious, 'always have a better way' nature. I'm still the same creative force that I pride myself on, yet, something is different. I'm more at peace and don't 'swim upstream' the way I did.
Many times the best route 'is' that of the masses...

I have let go of most of the grudges ,grief and guilt that I had carried with me most of my life. I can feel the universe humming and the wind blowing more than ever , while finding solitude in each moment and between each breath.

I had began writing of these changes on several instances, yet decided not to post...couldn't find the words at the time ,I guess, or didn't have the strong enough urge to come clean. Figured I'd take this opportunity.

To all that are experiencing the Master-Cleanse , please take full advantage of the process and rewards. It's not just a diet or physical cleanse. It really can help you to purge ALL toxic elements of your life. At the same time, realize that you have the power to carry the persistence and stamina of the willpower you are putting forth right this second,long after your last lemon is squeezed. Too many times we end the cleanse/fast and pop right back into the exact same routine, only to come back later and repeat the same process. Hold strong to the self-discipline you know you have. Please don't just fall back into the same routine. It's so easy to do, I know, yet it is the same effort to go the right path,to eat the right things...
to do the right things for the sake of you. A better you=a better world.

I still start my day with a quart of water,just without the salt- I finish my day with a cup of tea,non lax- I still drink the mc cocktails now and then...all to remind myself that can do anything my 'positive' self wants to do.

Our lives will always be surrounded by chaos. Accept that that is the way it is and
enjoy the ride, while at the same time , relinquishing the chaos in your life that is self inflicted. Just say, 'go'!


As for your ordeal with the hives ,NCTalley, you probably will never know what caused them. The main thing is you are well and I am so pleased that you are.
