Re: Lavendar oil works for burns.

Hi Tisha,

Oh! Lavendar is GREAT for burns. Actually there is a story about a scientist (I forget his name offhand). He was doing some experimenting with eos. He somehow burned his entire hand and plunged it into a vat of Lavendar Oil which proved to heal his burn quickly and without scarring.

A couple of months ago, I was making cinnamon toast. The toast fell behind the thing in the toaster oven. Stupid me reached my hand in verrrry carefully to avoid the elements. Well, of course I burned my hand on the top element. OMG that hurt. I dowsed it with Lavendar oil. I woke up the next day to find not even a mark on my hand.

Always remember though, Lavendar and tea tree oils are the ONLY ones you should use directly on the skin...especially on children. Tea tree also has a tendency to make people sensitive to it after a while, so it should be used undiluted only in moderation. There are a few others that are 'semi safe' to use...but only with EXTREME caution. I know that a certain other 'company' claims you can just start dropping oils on your skin, but that is only looking for trouble. Moderation is the key with essential oils. More is not always best.

By the way, YL oils are too expensive...you can get a good quality oil from other distributers for soo much less than that.
