CAN PALEO-DIET CAUSE CANDIDA to GO MYCELIAL??
Hi folks,
Have been on all-organic Paleo-style diet for 3 years plus - NO grains
Sugar or coffee, lots of salads & veg, fish, eggs, organic meat, some grapefruit & berries, only minor occasional ORGANIC "cheats" of dairy, red wine, dark choc, vinegar.
Am prepared to tighten up diet further IF it will DEFINITELY help - although this diet improved my IBS enormously (and candida may have been there most of my life), the symptoms of itching, high sleep needs, & neuropathies in arm & leg (latter is very worrying, and brain fog will interfere with planned study as well) only appeared AFTeR 3 years on this diet, so I'm not sure about diet any more.
It seems the removal of grains &
Sugar may have actually caused the yeast to directly access blood sugars via intestinal walls - so am worried that further diet changes will have no effect. Especially after reading that someone still had candida even after eating nothing but meat and fat!
Could this be the case? Is there SCIENTIFIC evidence that candida goes mycelial and gets direct access to the blood stream?
Any advice appreciated - thanks!
