Some women have an unbalanced labia... one inner lip may be significantly longer than the other thus hanging out and getting scraped by tight clothing, or misshapen labia. Other women who have been "circumcised" (such as sometimes occurs in non-Western countries) may wish to have this surgery to give them "normal-looking" labia. Because this area is so rich in nerves and blood vessels, it can be risky to future sexual enjoyment.
