Fasting to cure an ulcer?

I was just wondering if any of you might know if fasting will help heal a peptic ulcer? I am in almost constant pain from my it and also suffer from IBS which is not fun either. I have heard that fasting cures everything, but do you think that it will help me?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!!!
