Can't really comment on your main questions but I have a Breville juicer and LOVE it! A friend of mine bought the Jack LeLane's and the only disappointment she has with it is that it stains so easily. She says it's impossible to keep clean because it's white. You would think they would make a black version since they've been making them so long!
