Re: I Have Your Answer...
Some dentists closely adhere to the practices and policies as dictated to them through the ADA. This kind of dentist is generally conditioned to blindly follow whatever practices are deemed appropriate by the ADA and the various other higher-level politico-regulatory agencies higher up the chain of command. For various reasons, and there may be several, this kind of dentist is reluctant to stray beyond this zone of practice. Whatever the ADA and it's bosses dictate as being generally desired and within their bounds of appropriate dental treatment, this generally defines what this kind of denstist offers their clientele. Mercury fillings,
root canals and implants are among the types of treatment options and procedures that have long and routinely been advised by this chain of command.
Biologic dentists, home-pathic dentists and holistic dentists are labels that have been taken up by some dentists who for various reasons, and there may be several, are wanting to let their clientele know that they offer some dental treatment options that are generally outside and or beyound the the narrow bounds of dogma required by the chain of command that controls dentistry in America.
Keep in mind that in this country, all dentists, biologic/holistic and non, must be licensed to practice regardless of what methods they may choose to offer in their practice after they have been licensed. The same chain of command that dictates methods of treatment for dentistry also controls this licensing scheme.
