It is for dating rocks, but the fossils are completely surrounded by the rocks. The rocks below are dated, the rocks above are dated, thus you have the range that the dinosaur falls in. If the fossil isn't millions of years old, how is it surrounded by rocks on all sides that are millions of years old?
