primarily two things. one, the thyroid will store fluoride instead of Iodine and use it to make its hormones and they dont work in the end. it is also cancerous to the thyroid.

secondly, fluoride breaches down the blood/brain barrier and allows the things that normally are not allowed into the brain into the brain. you can use your imagination from there. its the worst of all possible worlds for your body's function.
