Re: Reverse osmosis whole house system RECOMMENDATIONS needed
hi
Before reading this please note: I'm not a doctor, nutritionist or qualified in any other health related practice. I am an unbiased researcher & practical experimenter. This is what I have learnt with regards to water filters:
Quick summary
Disadvantages:
1) Does not remove all harmful bacteria
2) leaves the water acidic. Ok for bathing, not for drinking otherwise it will leech minerals from your body as will distilled water - Solution if drinking is to raise the alkalinity and add trace minerals. This can be done by taking with a good 1/4 teaspoon of good edible
Montmorillonite clay - like Terramin.
3) Economically unfriendly wastes over half the water. Not to mention throwing back the junk back into the sink for all your non owning water filter neighbours to drink the consequences of your excess toxic waste.
Advantages:
1) 2nd cleanest water available. Distilled being the first. So it has the less toxic waste in comparison to any other filtration system beside distilled water.
2) Cost less that distilled water and is quicker to produce. Though still a little slow.
Recomendations:
Option 1 (best): If you want clean water. Get a good water distiller with carbon block filter. Then always add trace minerals and alkalise with as many ingredients as possible (fresh lemon juice / clay / akalize). In the Gerson book I have it states the Midi-Still water distiller is good. Remember, you always have to change the carbon filter after a period of time. Note: The best carbon filters are carbon block filters from coconut. Not GAC, because water can seep around the granules.
Option 2: The third most thorough water filter I have found is a 0.01 micron biostone filter. You can get a jupiter melody replacement filter for about $90 that last a year. Either buy the
Water Ionizer or just buy the replacement filter and customize it with a tube in both ends. Feed tap water in one end, and drink the water that comes out the other end.
