It is called "scare tactic".

Surgeon's job is to scare you into choosing surgery, because fear is the only way that he can make any normal person choose surgery.

Would you ever choose to do surgery, unless you are scared of something worse?

And, he didn't tell you, of course, that people sometimes die, even if they choose surgery?

Anyway, if you do experience stones stuck in common bile duct and block it totally (I have not yet come across someone who actually did experience that, but I did come across many people who lost their relatives due to surgeon's error) so... if you do ... then it is still not too late for surgery.

But, if you don't, you will not need surgery.

So, this is simple logic:

If you choose surgery, it is bad, because every surgery is bad, and then it is too late to solve the problem with flush.
And, it will still not clean your liver!
So, you may experience the same problem (stone stuck) several months later.

If you choose flush, and you succeed, you don't need surgery.
And if you repeat it several times, you will prevent future problems.

If you choose flush, and you don't succeed, it is still not too late for surgery.

So, by choosing flush, you simply have nothing to loose!

Is that hard to understand?
Whar is the problem?

> I am willing to try it but what if it *does* cause complete blockage. Do I have any options or do I have to get to the hospital immediately for ERCP?

In that case it is the best to do ERCP (within 7 days), I guess ...

People can live with common bile duct blocked, but only if they are fasting (water or juice fasting). If you eat heavy food, you may die.
So, in that case ERCP or surgery is the option.

But, it is important to understand that it is very unlikely that something like this will happened, based on stories from thousands of people that I read in the last 10 years.

Likelines (probability) of experiencing the stone blocking bile ducts completely is much higher if you don't do anything (like you are now) because any fasting (I assume you are fasting - low fat) will cause bile stagnation, and bile stagnation may cause new stones.

In the worst case, it takes less then 3 days for liver to create cholesterol stone size of the pea, and then you can imagine how long time it may take to increase the size of the stone that you already have inside bile ducts!

DO NOT WAIT!

You have only 2 choices!

Choice #1: Flush (If you choose this one, your chances to solve the problem are highest!)

Choice #2: Surgery. (If you choose this one, your chances to solve the immediate problem are good, but you may experience the same problem 3 months later!

If you choose Choice #1, it is still not too late for Choice #2.

What is the problem?

If you choose to do nothing, it could be just a question of time when this stone will become big enough to cause serious problems.

YOU DON'T HAVE TIME FOR WASTING!

Your stone may be growing every hour bigger and bigger.

If I were you, I would drink Epsom Salt NOW!

TIME is the factor that you can't neglect!

best of health
