Re: Someone please help...
Hey, I too have been suffering with
Acne for quite some time. Topical medications used to keep it under control, but eventually made it worse.
Antibiotics worked for me but I developed incredible gastro-intestinal pain, and had to stop meds. So its been about 2 years trying different cleanses, different diets, different supplements, and I still have acne. I'm currently on the whole-body cleanse (colon, liver, gall bladder, lungs, kidney, blood, lymph, skin) by blesseherbs.com, and I'm on day 10 with no sign of improvement with my acne, although the lymph and skin part of the cleanse is yet to come. I will keep you posted, because I wouldn't want you to spend money if the results that we're both looking for are not found in this cleanse.
Acne has so many causes, so many treatments, its just a matter of finding one that resonates with you, which very well may be accutane, although I hope we don't have to resign to it. I hope this cleanse heals it.
I also started a graduate program in acupuncture and oriental medicine, and dermatology is an extremely complex issue. The places on your face where the
Acne is found, along with the type of acne, can give you an idea of whats the underlying problem. The gall bladder and large intestine channels have points on the cheeks, and the gall bladder is paired with the liver, so your liver cleanse would've affected it, and I did the liver cleanse (out of desperation)even though chinese medicine would NOT recommend it. I'm in the beginning of the program, so I want to ask one of my professors about it as well, and I'll get back to you later today or tomorrow.
one last thing... I, too, have had a hard time coping with acne. Acne stopped me from enjoying being out in public, going to bars and clubs, and I even ruined an amazing relationship because I didn't want to see my girlfriend when I had flare-ups (i thought i would marry this girl). i KNOW how depressed one can feel from it, i KNOW how it feels to not like the body my soul has to reside in, but what got me through is that i know I will heal it, soon, and if it has to be accutane, so be it.
