The Encourager (exerpts) November
BE THANKFUL
Be thankful that you don’t already have everything you desire. Because
if you did, what would there be to look forward to? And be thankful when
you don’t know something, for it gives you the opportunity to learn.
Be thankful for the difficult times. Because it’s during those times that we
grow. And be thankful for your limitations, because they give you
opportunities for improvement. Be thankful for each new challenge,
because it will build your strength and character.
Be thankful for your mistakes. They will teach you valuable lessons. And be
thankful when you’re tired and weary, because it means you’ve made a
difference in something.
It’s easy to be thankful for the good things. A life of rich fulfillment comes
to those who are also thankful for the setbacks. Gratitude can turn a negative
into a positive. So find a way to be thankful for your troubles, and in doing
that, those troubles will become your blessings. (author unknown)

Hurray For Thanksgiving Day!
(Remember this?)
Over the river, and through the woods, to grandfather’s house we go;
The horse knows the way to carry the sleigh through the white and
drifted snow.
Over the river, and through the woods, now grandmother’s cap I spy!
Hurray for the fun! Is the pudding done? Hurray for the punkin pie!

What Am I Thankful For?
What am I thankful for this year? The small and simple things. The hope that
keeps me going, and the peace that believing brings. I have so much to thank
God for, I don’t know where to start; I only know He walks with me and lives
within my heart. (Grace Easley)
When we count our many blessings; it isn’t hard to see, that life’s most valued
treasures are the treasures that are free. For it isn’t what we own or buy, that
signifies our wealth. It’s the special gifts that have no price, our family, friends
And health. (author unknown)

Let others see Jesus in you…and remember, the Jesus they
see in you…may be the only Jesus they see!
