Im a type 1 diabetic and have done a 5 day master cleanse with no problems. My blood Sugar was great, ussually in the 100's. I did use a bit of insulin for every drink. I cant help but laugh when i read about doctors poopooing this or that cleanse, saying it has too much sugar. Yet they allow you to have such things as potatoes, grains(ahhhh!), and even allow a little dessert. They even go as far to say its ok to eat artificial sugars. Thats when you know that their seriously misinformed. Whenever Im having high blood sugars a 1-3 day fast will always bring them back on track. In my opinion, a fast is one of the best things you can do for your blood sugar. Just think about, there are tons and tons of carbs in the avergae persons meal food. When I was first diagnosed they allowed me a whopping 75 grams of carbgohydrates for each meal, 3 meals a day. And... 45 grams for each snack, 2 snacks a day! And this is for a diabetic. That is a huge amount. A little bit of mollasses is fine. Dont let the doctors scare you. They are not taught in school how to do a safe cleanse and all the benefits of them. There not even taught much about nutrition. They are taught how to give drugs and how to perform surgery. Anything besides that they are basically useless. So by all means tell your friend about all the great benefits of The Master Cleanser , for diabetics too!
