Help for modest pain management
Hi, Wendy!
I am so glad you found this site, as I did, before having your gallbladder out. At least now you have an alternative to surgery that you can try for awhile!
Well, I'm not a very experienced flusher, but I have done one, with great success, and will be doing #2 very soon.
I have not had a serious gallbladder attack in almost twenty years, but I remember the excrutiating pain! I did experience a little pain several days after my first flush, which was less than a week ago, but it was very minor and was actually an encouragement to me because I felt like my stones were moving around, and not totally stuck somewhere.
So I took a hefty dose of epsom salt: 1 tablespoon with water, and then I used my hot water bottle over the liver area, as hot as I could get it (be sure to wrap with a towel at first so you won't get burned), for about an hour. The pain was gone after that. There are many wonderful posts on this site that can help you. Do read the archives also, they are WONDERFUL, and very relevant, and you will learn SO much!
I apologize for my lack of great wisdom, but the people on this site have experienced the pain and the problems that you have and will encounter, so my advice is to read as much as you can.
Welcome to the site!
