Scared... need help and advice

hi... I'm looking for some advice....

I had a broken condom, the girl has no symptoms, I got sick... developed a small blister right at the tip of the penis which was only around a day or two, disappeared, and a small cut showed up. by the time i got to the Dr it was gone.

I always thought that Herpes was testable. Just a blood test and thats it... but appearnlty not. So all i can do is wait now to see if i get another outbreak.

I had tingling/light burning on the upper inside of my leg, a bit of itching...a light discharge (got tested for everything i could get tested for, was negative for all) and that one bloody sore which i couldn't get to the dr in time. The Dr said there's no way of testing for it 100% until i get a sore, and he can swab it.

So here's my problem.. i just started seeing this girl. I've been around.. i won't lie, but otherwise don't have anything. we havn't slept together yet.. Do i tell her? Do I have HSV? i don't even know. If i knew this would be a lot easier.....

I need some advice. The Dr said because my symptoms are so mild this could be the first outbreak for me, or it might be the 100th, because i only even noticed because of the discharge, I thought i had the clap when i went to the Dr.

I'm torn... it seems like it shouldn't be a big deal. basically its a cold sore (not to lesson the severity of those of you who have brutal outbreaks which are very painful) . I wouldn't NOT date someone if i really cared for them because of it. I would just insist we be careful. At the same time it will have the stigma of an STD around it. it seems like a rough way to end something thats going really well, and then NOT have anything...

Do I have it do you think? what should i do? HELP!

thanks.
