Re: Fibromyalgia, guaifenesin and medical marijuana
Diet and exercise only does so much. If there is a drug that gives your sister relief then she is one lucky girl and she doesn't need her brother telling her not to use MMJ because it is toxic. Instead, buy her a vaporizer and reduce the MJ toxins. Smoking MJ is far less toxic than one little ibuprofen! For two years I went without any pain relief because I didn't want to put toxins in my body. My FMS got worse and worse and with no relief in sight I discussed assisted suicide with my family. Fortunately I found Dr. Whitcomb in South Lake Tahoe and now I spend my days pain free. Dr. Whitcomb discovered that fibro patients all have the same C1 vertabra displacement. The C1 vertebra is actually pulling on the menenges which is interfering with nerve signals. Messages get all mixed up and cause the nerves to misfire and send pain signals throughout the body. The sympathetic nervous system stops working properly because the FMS patient is constantly in fight or flight mode, so the patients end up with sympathetic nervous system problems, like IBS. When you put the C1 back in its place the nerves stop firing and the pain and IBS go away. Nutrition does play a role as do genetics, but the bottom line is that if you removing this major causal factor the pain goes away. That is what happened in my case as well as the many women and few men that were at the Fibromyalgia Relief Center with me over the summer. If you really want to help your sister, send her neck x-ray to Dr. Whitcomb and see if he can help your sister. There is a chance that he can't help her. One of the ladies that was in Tahoe with me was one of the unlucky ones, but the doctor told her upfront that he has had a few other patients with her predicament and was unable to help them. In my friends case she had a congenital defect and her C2 was forcing her C1 into her menenges. Her only option is surgery and that is $100,000 and insurance won't cover it. So far, there are two surgeons who operate on fibro patients, but the operation is risky. Nerve damage can result and for me the risk isn't worth it when I can get good results from chiropractic. THis chiropractor is an absolute miracle. He works 6 days per week and adjusts his fibro patients 2-3 times per day to get these results. You can visit this doctor's website at
http://www.fibromyalgia.tv and watch their testimonials as well as the doctor's 90 minute video explaining the cause of fibromyalgia and what FMS patients go through. Dr. Whitcomb is so passionate about this cause because he also had fibromyalgia, so he understands our suffering. He gets choked up when he talks about his own experience. Make no mistake about it, fibromyalgia is a living hell!
