Re: distilled vs natural spring water. which is best?

For over twenty years I drank natural spring water from a sandstone cave right here on the farm. Most of the time the water was delicious, but it is so hard it leaves calcium deposits everywhere. The tea kettle I inherited from my grandmother looks like a mini cavern inside, it has both stalactites and stalagmites growing in it. A leaky faucet will produce a little stalactite in a couple of days, shower heads become clogged, washing machine filters rapidly become useless because of the trapped minerals, the hot water heater had to be drained weekly to keep it going. All of this might be a mild inconvenience, but I wondered what was going on inside my body. At first I thought I was lucky and would never have osteoporosis. However, my joints started getting stiff at thirty, I had a lung x-ray at forty and I had calcium deposits on my lungs. The body can absorb enough of this rock mineral to cause damage. The problem is the mineral rock can be absorbed by some of the capillaries in the body, but it cannot be absorbed by the cells themselves. Eventually, the body winds up depositing excess and useless rock minerals into organs and joints. This can cause real problems. kidney stones are epidemic here and I believe the extra hard water is a major factor. Asthma and Arthritis are also very common problems, and may be helped along by rock minerals deposited in the body. Most of the large rock minerals are simply flushed through the body with out damage, but the few that get into the system but cannot be utilized can cause problems eventually.
I use a water distiller and cannot stand to drink any other water now, I'm completely spoiled. However, I do make a point to get plenty of plant based minerals. Leafy greens are the best, along with broccoli and cantaloupe. Because my diet is less than ideal often enough, I use a green powder "superfood" and natural salt to make sure I do get the much needed minerals.
