Water Ionization good?

We are about to buy a new type of water filter that creates alkaline water. Does anyone know about this and is it good? This is the link to the unit I'm most interested in buying.

I would love other opinions. I've been using Reverse osmosis water for years and it's so acidic. My machine is having a problem so I switched temporarily to spring water and I feel somewhat better. I would think alkaline water would be very healing overall.
