Being a little plant-ish, Candida is vulnerable to breakdown by the enzyme CELLULASE. EnzyMedica includes PROTEASE in their 'Candidase' formula to break down the constituent dead cell parts, avoiding much of the Herxheimer reaction of becoming more sick as toxins are processed. Download their DVD and read up on their enzyme book excerpt and contact them for their free CD on enzymes, much easier to understand than their website. I haven't used this but note it contains CELLULASE like the coastherbal.com website's Candida formula. While EnzyMedica also includes PROTEASE, it doesn't have lactobacillus which is probably why customers on the VitaCost website also bought Jarrow's acidophilus formula.
