i have used both and they work. in fact, i have not found an oil that doesnt work. corn oil is not one of my favorites. it is very thick and the taste is not that good. i used plain old mazola from wally world. olive oil is a good choice and the one i used exclusively when i first did this a couple of years ago. click on the R and description links above for lots of reading.
