People, people: Peanut butter WITHOUT hydrogenated oil can easily be found - the natural brands have only peanuts (and salt, unless you choose unsalted). Read the labels and compare, silly folks. Don't you shop at health food stores?
So if you choose those brands, the only worry left is the mold issue, which - if you eat the peanut butter and it doesn't give you a reaction, then may not be a problem for everyone. It certainly isn't for me. Give me a jar of natural peanut butter any day.
