Colloidal Silver is possibly a great health risk???

I have just read an article from "Quackwatch" which does not have anything positive to say of using Colloidal Silver . If anyone has investigated this on their website I would really appreciate any input especially from anyone out there who is well informed on this subject. I have used it for a few years now, and make my own and have never had a problem, but gave my friend some and she came up with the article from these people and now is questioning the safety of the product.
