i used to think that way too, until spike lee opened my eyes to the bias amongst blacks between the light blacks and the dark blacks. so i dont see mixed couples with as much enthusiasm as i used to. in fact i think its rather sad. i like differences in people and i think homogenizing all into one color will do nothing but make everyone the same color. there will still the the blues and the brown eyes or the straight hair and the curly hair or the attached earlobes nd the unattached earlobes. and there will still be hate and different religions and the whole thing.
there were lots of mixed couples in fairbanks, ak and very little prejudice of any kind against any types. i was quite impressed with that when i arrived there in 78.
