a 20 something died accidentally/tragically but was quoted as having said while alive, 'I can no longer see my tomorrows'.

Wouldn't surprise me.

In this case however, it may not be what you think.

I'll give you a real example.

My ex-wife made a left turn across oncoming traffic.

She cut it close, across two lanes but felt safe as the oncoming car was in the fast lane.

The woman driving the oncoming car swerved into the slower lane and hit my wife.

After the collision, the woman driving the car kept repeating she didn't know why swerved into my wife.

To me it's rather simple.

There was something coming up she couldn't face.

It was easier to avoid it via accident rather than confront it.

Sad to say, the 20 year old manifested his statement.

It begs the question, was it a conscious decision or unconscious one?
