Re: I had the most BIZARRE Experience with my eyes today....
This has occurred to me many times, typically after periods of visual strain. It is called an ocular migraine. The current medical explanation of what is physically happening during this phenomenom is, in my humble opinion, false. I will say that they essentially stopped after I stopped wearing glasses and using contacts (and my vision was considered high myope, about -5.00 diopters in both eyes). I now live by the meditative spirit underlying the Bates Method (of natural visual restoration), and my vision is slowly improving (I don't even need glasses to drive, well legally I do but lets just keep that a secret between us and everyone else who views this forum, in fact since I stopped wearing my glasses I also stopped crashing and am a vastly better/less anxious driver). There are, for me, amazing confirmations of the fundamental truth of Bates theories from time to time, when my vision synchs to perfect in what are called "clear flashes". On the few occasions when I need to use glasses (such as night driving) I use lower prescription glasses (-3.00 diopters) that I ordered from 39dollarglasses.com. Just pretend to have a doctor's prescription. Peace.
PS: Bates entire book can be found free online, and also there is a Bate's Method group at Yahoo if you are interested.
