Ecspecially for Floridians...

"Ill Nature, Rants and reflections on Humanity and other Animals" by Joy Williams.

a book of essays on topics such as Key Lois - did you know that one of the keys is inhabited entirely by monkeys? Rhesus monkeys raised for laboratory research?

Other essays include "Neverglades", "Coral Castle", Sharks and Suicide",...

The reason that I remembered this book, though, was because of one essay in particular.."One Acre"-She writes of acquiring an acre in Florida, builds a wall around it & lets nature take it's course. Great fun & really inspiring!
