Re: vegeterian diet for dog + cat?

Please do not try to feed your cats a vegetarian diet! You can cause them to go into liver failure and they can die. It happened to a friend of mine and she almost lost her cat. Dogs and cats are carnivores and don't do well with veg. diets from everything I've read. With cats it can lead to sudden death from liver failure. It can also make them go blind from lack of taurine. I have been a vegetarian for 28 years, but I wouldn't dream of trying to make my critters into vegetarians. I don't have any websites to share on this topic, but I know they are out there.
