As some of these steps may require you to go on the internet and the pop-ups may prevent you from doing so, or from completing the task, you may need to disable pop-us while you install and register your anti-spyware programs.

Assuming that you are using Microsoft, one thing to keep in mind is to always run your Microsoft software updates.

One thing I do: If I go to a website and ONE pop-up comes up - I immediately close the website and don't return. It appears to help to keep the exposure down.
